Dear Graduating Senior:

The Asian Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Foundation will award ten – $1000 student scholarships to deserving and academically oriented graduating high school seniors in the Houston metro area to aid in furthering their education. Applicants will be evaluated based on the following:

  • Graduating high school senior
  • Academics
  • Must be planning to attend an accredited institution of higher learning located in the state of Texas
  • Essay (typed, 200-300 words)
  • Community service and/or employment
  • School activities (clubs, sports, etc.)

 

Due Date

Applications must be received into our offices by May 1, 2013.

Late applications will not be accepted.

 

Scholarship Process

  1. Application forms are also available online at www.asianchamber-hou.org.
  2. Application forms can be typed or handwritten
  3. The essay must be typed and the sole product of the applicant.
  4. A copy of the student’s high school transcript must be attached.
  5. Mail application, or drop off application by May 1, 2013.  Do not email application.

 

Selection Process

  1. Applications will be reviewed by the ACOC Scholarship Foundation Committee members.
  2. Award recipients will be notified after review
  3. Award ceremony and checks will be presented at the June membership luncheon. Specific details will be provided to recipients.
