Senior Consultant – Angela Hu

Ms. Angela Hu received her Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the Shanghai University of Engineering Science.  She was ranked No. 1 in the Department of Electric Engineering in 1985.  She was honored as the most Outstanding College Graduate in the city of Shanghai.  Since then she has served as a lecturer and researcher for juniors and seniors in the field of Automatic Control Systems until 1993.

Ms. Hu has established her own company, Shanghai Changtong Consulting Inc. in 1995.  Her marketing savvy and unprecedented altruism culminated in her being appointed the Vice Chairman and President of Shanghai Airlines Houston office in 1998, where she was primarily in charge of the Sino-USA travel markets, including the lucrative trade missions between the two countries.

From 2001 to 2003, Ms. Hu was elected the Vice President of the US-China People’s Friendship Association, which was founded in 1974 before USA and China set up formal relations.  Her resounding success earned admiration and mutual respect from both countries, immortalizing her impact on businesses.  She received the highest honor and recognition as the Honorable Citizen of Texas from Governor Rick Perry in 2003 .

Ms. Angela Hu was the Chairman of PATA in 2002, and currently holds multiple titles in various organizations.  She is the founding President of China General Chamber of Commerce at USA Southern Region (CGCC), Vice Chairman of Jiangsu Friendship Association & Executive, and Council Member of International Economic Development Advisory .

She was also the Vice President of Business Development at East West Bank in Houston from 2011 to 2012, the Regional Financial Advisor to infrastructure entities in Asian Wastewater Association (AWA) and was the Chief US Representative of Shanghai Lonyer Fuels Co. Ltd. from 2010 to 2011.
